UP!

Thu, Oct 29, 2026at 7:00 PM
320 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Free
Featuring: Pilobolus

UP! is an immersive, participatory performance by dance-theater company Pilobolus, presented with Opera Philadelphia and Village of Industry and Art. Inspired by the playful magic of *Mary Poppins* and the vibrant atmosphere of Studio 54, the experience uses illuminated umbrellas created in collaboration with MIT to build a large-scale, moving visual spectacle.

Audience members can join the performance without dance training or rehearsal, moving with the group to music while holding a lighted umbrella. Those who prefer not to participate may attend as spectators. Halloween costumes are welcome, with a suggested theme of “The Next 250 Years in the USA,” encouraging comfortable, futuristic outfits.

Showtimes: 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m.

Run time: Approximately 40 minutes per performance.
