Low Cut Connie: Led by Adam Weiner, Low Cut Connie is known for energetic rock & roll and a committed fanbase. The project has released seven studio albums prior to *Livin in the USA* and has received acclaim from music publications, public radio, and late-night television.

The Flying Vees: The Flying Vees are a four-woman group whose songs combine humor, anger, tenderness, blues guitar, piano, and distinctive three-part harmonies. Their material addresses subjects including abortion, murder ballads, substance abuse, and sexuality, pairing social commentary with a wry, highly theatrical sensibility. The group describes its performances as emotionally expansive, humorous, and empowering.

The Ben Vaughn Quintet: Ben Vaughn is a Philadelphia-area musician, producer, composer, and radio commentator. After discovering Duane Eddy at age six, he formed the Ben Vaughn Combo in 1983; the group released two albums, toured throughout the United States, and received coverage in *Rolling Stone* and *People*, along with MTV exposure. Vaughn later pursued a solo career, recorded several acclaimed albums, toured in Europe and the United States, and produced recordings for Elektra Records’ American Explorer series. His other work includes the *Cubist Blues* collaboration with Alan Vega and Alex Chilton, scores for two films, and frequent appearances as a guest commentator on NPR programs including *Fresh Air* and *World Cafe*.
