Jazmine Saunders, soprano; Frederica von Stade, mezzo; Jonghyun Park, tenor; Yeongtaek Yang, baritone; Myra Huang, piano; Ken Noda, piano
Frederica von Stade joins soprano Jazmine Saunders, tenor Jonghyun Park, and baritone Yeongtaek Yang—artists from the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program—for a recital exploring the emotional range and intimacy of Romantic and Impressionist vocal music. Pianists Myra Huang and Ken Noda accompany the singers, with the program also featuring Debussy’s piano-four-hands arrangement of *Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune*.
Presented as The Alexander Schneider Concert, the performance brings together von Stade’s distinguished career and the next generation of opera artists. The Lindemann program, established by the Metropolitan Opera in 1980, trains promising singers, coaches, and pianists through instruction with leading Met artists and opportunities to perform in opera productions and concerts.
