Pink Palette Project: November Suminagashi
Pink Palette Project is a welcoming monthly art gathering for people at any stage of their breast cancer journey, including previvors, survivors, people who have recently been diagnosed, and those currently undergoing treatment. The group uses creativity to raise awareness, offer hope, and foster connection in a supportive environment.
The November session focuses on suminagashi, an ancient Japanese technique for creating marbled designs by floating ink on water and transferring the patterns onto paper. Teaching Artist Gavi Kestenbaum will lead participants in making artwork that can become greeting cards, bookmarks, origami, decorative wrapping paper, abstract prints, and more. No prior art experience is needed.
