JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH
Henry Selick’s animated adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved story follows an orphaned boy who escapes his cruel aunts by traveling inside a magically enlarged peach. Along the way to New York City, he encounters a lively group of talking insect companions and embarks on a fantastical voyage.
The film stars Paul Terry, Joanna Lumley, and Pete Postlethwaite, and is presented as part of the Philadelphia Film Society’s FEAST limited series, a program centered on films about food, dining, social rituals, celebration, and the complications of gathering around the table.
