Punch Brothers
Punch Brothers bring their boundary-pushing acoustic music to Keswick Theatre as part of the Unsung North American Expedition, presented with a welcome from WXPN. Formed by mandolinist Chris Thile in 2006, the Grammy-winning group combines bluegrass, folk, classical, and other string-music traditions in a genre-defying sound.
The current lineup features Thile with guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, banjoist Noam Pikelny, and violinist Brittany Haas. The band’s acclaimed releases include *Antifogmatic*, *Who’s Feeling Young Now?*, *The Phosphorescent Blues*, and *All Ashore*, which won the Grammy for Best Folk Album. Their 2021 album, *Hell on Church Street*, reimagined Tony Rice’s *Church Street Blues*. Punch Brothers have also created the variety show *The Energy Curfew Music Hour*, whose first season is available on podcast platforms and whose second season is available exclusively on Audible.
