Carsie Blanton
Carsie Blanton brings her radical folk, sharp humor, infectious melodies, and hopeful spirit to Underground Arts with The Burning Hell. Blanton’s road-tested band draws on vaudeville, campfire singalongs, punk rock, and participatory songwriting, while her work also reflects her activism and political organizing.
The Burning Hell, the Canadian project led by songwriter Mathias Kom with multi-instrumentalist Ariel Sharratt, joins the bill with narrative-driven songs shaped by literary, historical, and pop-cultural themes. Their music often considers apocalypse and ruin while emphasizing connection and the communal power of live performance.
