THE WILD HYMNS with special guests PAPER GRAVES
The Kennett Flash presents The Wild Hymns, a York, Pennsylvania group blending folk-pop, dreamy art-rock, and mellow Americana, with special guests Paper Graves. The Wild Hymns are known for velvety vocals, emotionally expressive songwriting, hypnotic musicality, and intricate arrangements. Megan Woodland and Jeff Hewitt formed the group in 2014 after meeting through music, and they have released four independent full-length albums while touring internationally as both a duo and a full band. They are also preparing new original music and a full-length album for 2026.
Paper Graves, formed in 2025 and based in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, describes its sound as a fever dream set in a haunted Appalachian speakeasy. The group combines banjo, upright bass, harmonized vocals, and occasional resonator guitar with elements of traditional folk, jazz, blues, and minor-key “witchcraft.”
