Sketching in the Galleries

Explore the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s collection through an informal, drop-in sketching session. Each meeting takes place in a different gallery and centers on a particular theme or work from the museum’s collection. No prior drawing experience is needed, and sketching materials are supplied.

The session’s gallery location will be announced on the museum’s website before the program and will also be available at any Visitor Services desk. Seating and participation may be limited by the size and restrictions of the gallery. Participants receive 10% off art supplies at the museum store.

When: Friday, November 20, 2026

Showtime: 12:00–1:30 p.m.

Venue: Philadelphia Museum of Art, Main Building

Location: Multiple galleries; the specific gallery will be announced before the session

Tickets: Free with museum admission. Reservations are not required. Museum admission is always free for members.

Experience: Materials are provided, and no previous sketching experience is necessary.
