Blood Simple
Bryn Mawr Film Institute presents *Blood Simple* (1984), the Coen brothers’ first neo-noir feature, in a 35mm screening. The pulpy crime story follows a private investigator hired to track a saloon owner’s unfaithful wife; when he exploits what he discovers, a dangerous series of double-crosses and killings begins.
The screening is part of the institute’s “Neo-Noir Nights” programming and accompanies the course *American Neo-Noir: Reimagining the Classic Noir Archetypes*, taught by Paul Wright, Ph.D. The print is provided courtesy of the Walker Art Center.
