DelArt Readers – Gabriele by Anne & Claire Berest

DelArt Readers is a monthly, community-led book club at the Delaware Art Museum focused on fiction and nonfiction connected to art, artists, the artistic process, the Museum’s collections, or its exhibitions. Meetings encourage discussion, debate, celebration, and connection among participants.

The October selection is *Gabriele* by Anne and Claire Berest, a novel written by Gabriele Buffet’s great-granddaughters. It follows Gabriele Buffet, Francis Picabia, and Marcel Duchamp as they meet, fall in love, marry, and help transform the art world and redefine the avant-garde while moving among Paris, New York, Berlin, Zurich, Barcelona, London, and Saint-Tropez.
