Philadelphia Water Color Society’s 126th International Exhibition of Works on Paper presents a juried selection of contemporary works on paper at Wayne Art Center. The exhibition includes watercolor, soft pastel, charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, pen and ink, gouache, acrylic, and hand-pulled prints, bringing together work by local, national, and international artists.

The Philadelphia Water Color Society, founded in 1900 to challenge the exhibition bias against watercolor, continues to promote watercolor and other works on paper through exhibitions of its members’ art. Its membership now includes nearly 500 artists working in a wide range of paper-based media.

When: October 14–November 14, 2026

Exhibition Reception and Awards: October 18, 3–5 p.m.

Venue: Wayne Art Center, Davenport, Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith, and Vidinghoff Galleries

Juror of Selection: Ng Woon Lam, a Singaporean watercolor artist, educator, and associate professor at Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media. He holds an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art and is a Signature Member of the American Watercolor Society and National Watercolor Society. His work combines expressive Chinese calligraphic brushwork with contemporary watercolor methods and explores balance, harmony, and movement through the philosophy of Taiji.

After working as a freelance illustrator and producing more than 500 illustrations for books, magazines, publishers, advertising agencies, and corporations, he moved toward fine art and portraiture.
